During WWDC 2024, held from June 10th to June 14th, Apple announced a new version of its operating system, iOS 18, with numerous updates compared to last year's version. Key highlights include Apple's AI features, customization options, improvements to native apps, and many other features that I will cover in this article. Apple iOS 18 Features

Siri, the voice assistant, has been enhanced with AI, enabling it to answer your questions, engage in intelligent chatbot conversations, and provide real-time translation. Additionally, Siri will be able to perform specific tasks within apps, such as opening a particular document or modifying a note in a folder, among many other improvements.
The ability to customize the home screen as you wish, by moving app icons and placing them wherever you want on the screen, with the option to control their color.
iOS 18 brings improvements to the system's native apps, including iMessage, which will now support emergency calls via satellite if you don't have network coverage, and the Photos app, which will be significantly enhanced. The Mail app will also see interface improvements and email categorization.
Apple Intelligence: The operating system will feature many AI-powered functionalities, including generating images using AI, converting audio to text, and supporting new writing functions for rewriting or reviewing texts.
New accessibility features, including eye tracking, allowing you to control your iPhone or iPad with your eyes, voice shortcuts to perform tasks using voice commands, and musical haptics, which will be suitable for people with hearing difficulties as this feature helps in listening to music with vibrations.
The new Apple system comes with the iCloud Keychain app, which will save all passwords, Wi-Fi network passwords, and app passwords, giving you the ability to manage all your passwords from one place.
iOS 18 provides you with the ability to create automated reply messages for messages and emails, and also offers you the ability to create custom emojis without using external software.

iPhone devices that will receive iOS 18

As we've come to expect from Apple, the new iOS 18 operating system will come pre-installed on upcoming iPhone devices, which will be launched in September 2024. However, it will also be rolled out to many previous phone models in several phases. In the following lines, we will learn about all eligible iPhone devices for iOS 18.

Apple will begin rolling out the new operating system update to all iPhone 15 series phones, iPhone 14 phones, iPhone 13 series, and iPhone 12, including Mini versions, as well as iPhone 11.

After that, it will release the update to some older phones, including iPhone XS Max, iPhone XS, iPhone SE 2022, and iPhone XR. Although the company has not specified a date for the updates to reach these phones, we expect the iOS 18 operating system update to reach all eligible phones in the coming months, with the update rollout concluding by early 2025.
